Samantha (Olson) Clemens is a pragmatic daydreamer – organized but innovative, she fosters perceptive creative solutions. Samantha addresses biomedical problems with a high standard of research, cultivating science and art to educate, clarify, and inspire. She is an analytical storyteller, organized designer, and comfortable communicator.

A Midwest native, Samantha graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University with a Biology major and Art minor. While pursuing her Master of Science in Biomedical Visualization at the University of Illinois at Chicago, she researched the best practices in animation to advance visual patient education for the UIC Craniofacial Center. In addition, she specialized in graphic design, visual problem solving, neuroscience, human anatomy, and project management. During graduate school, she was honored to be the President of the Student Association of Medical Artists, the Editorial Graphics Intern at the Journal of the American Medical Association, and a Vesalian Scholar.

Currently, Samantha is a Producer at Radius Digital Science. In this role, Samantha drives projects by synthesizing critical information, supporting production artists and creative directors, managing timelines, monitoring budgets, facilitating creative visions, advocating audience interests, and coordinating client needs. She loves her job.

Samantha is dedicated to biomedical communication due to a lifelong love of science, a belief in the power of visual education, and a visceral need to improve, help, and teach.
